Bid Adieu to Those Love Handles with Meratrim

Meratrim, a weight loss supplement recently developed by InterHealth, California has taken the nutrition and weight loss world by fire. They stand out due to claiming this product is an all-natural, herbal supplement that works by targeting the body’s fat cells and metabolism. Combined with a daily routine of diet and exercise it has been showing exciting results. We would be surprised if it could burn fat as easily as garcinia cambogia, though. But let’s see…

Marketed as a “Fruit and Flower” slimming formula, Meratrim is a combination of the herbal extracts of the Sphaeranthus indicus (East Indian globe thistle) and the Garcinia Mangostana (mangosteen fruit) with no other artificial ingredients and stimulants. The resulting blend works by altering the way the body forms fat cells and breaks down fat, resulting in weight loss.

Unlike many other weight loss supplements that don’t have scientific data to support their claims, this one has been backed up by a study and 8 week trial. Researchers gave the study subjects either placebo pills or the herbal blend supplements every day. While following identical dietary and fitness schedules, after merely 2 weeks into the study the findings were eye popping:

While the group taking the placebo pills lost an average of 3.3 lbs, the herbal supplement group lost an average of 11.5 lbs.
• The herbal blend group lost weight mainly around the hip and waist area, which are the most dangerous ares to be carrying around fat.
• The herbal blend group also registered improved levels of blood sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides.
• Owing to the natural nature of the supplements neither group reported any visible side effects.

Nutritionist Judith Stern who led the study believed it to be a drug of great promise to those who want to lose weight. “Our findings suggest that the herbal blend appears to be a well-tolerated and effective ingredient for weight management.” concluded the study researchers.

Noted health expert and TV personality, Dr. Mehmet Oz, recently came up with a weight loss plan consisting of Meratrim with an added healthy diet and exercise routine that was featured on his Feb 10th show. He carried out a trial of sorts on his show where he asked 30 women of his audience to take the supplement for 14 days, supported by a healthy diet and exercise routine, and documented their weight loss. All of them, amazingly, had lost an average of 3 lbs and 3 inches off their waistline in just 2 weeks. “This program works faster than ever. You start to see the results in just two weeks.” said Dr. Oz.

For those who want the supplement, look online or ask around at your local health stores. Consumers are advised to read the labels carefully. Certain retail companies have also started using it in their products in combination with other stimulants like caffeine and tea.
